Home Inspector Training courses

The Ontario Association of Home Inspectors only accepts courses from the following Ontario Community Colleges as meeting Baseline Accreditation requirements:

Algonquin College-Ottawa, Cambrian College, Conestoga College, George Brown, Georgian College, Humber College, Mohawk College- Hamilton, Niagara College, Seneca College, Centennial College, Confederation College, Durham College (Ontariolearn.com only), Lambton College, Loyalist College, Northern College, Sault College, Sheridan College, St. Clair College, St. Lawrence College. Other colleges may offer Seneca College course through OntarioLearn.

 

These courses may be available in class, online or by correspondence. Check your community colleges for availability. Some community colleges offer an enhanced home inspection program.

 

The Ontario Building Code courses are available through some colleges during the evenings and through the OAHI on selected weekends. The Defect Recognition & Reporting Course is only available through the OAHI on selected weekends.

 

Applicants should note that the Board of Examiners does not accept courses provided by private education providers.
