OAHI Responds to Bill 165 - An Act to regulate home inspectors

MISSISSAUGA, ON Feb. 25, 2016 - The Ontario Association of Home Inspectors (OAHI)  supports the licensing of home inspectors in Ontario.

As the only provincially recognized body of home inspectors by The Ontario Association of Home Inspectors Act, 1994 (PR 158), we encourage incorporating the higher levels of education, Standards of Practice, Code of Conduct and mentoring OAHI members have utilized since our appointment as the not-for-profit, self-governing body for Ontario 21 years ago.

OAHI is recognized as a non-governmental regulatory authority in the Labour Mobility Act of 2009. We look forward to continued cooperation with the Government of Ontario and the growth of the home inspection profession in this province.

The Ontario Association of Home Inspectors supports regulated licensing for Ontario home inspectors.
