Education has always been one of OAHI’s keys. Regularly educated members is what differentiates members of the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors.
As such new training opportunities have become available for our members. Some of the listed programs include discounts for OAHI members. This is one of the benefits of being an OAHI member. We are always advocating for you.
1. Pinchin - How to Manage Radon in your Buildings
Pinchin is offering a series of complimentary breakfast sessions about management radon in buildings. One session will be held in Sudbury Jan. 30 another will be held in Kingston on Feb. 8. Click here for more information.
2. Fleming College - Home Flood Risk Assessment Training Course (HFRAT)
Fleming College in conjunction with the Intact Centre on Climate Adaptation (ICCA) is offering an online Home Flood Risk Assessment Training course starting March 1.
ICCA will cover $50 of the total registration cost for the first 20 RHIs (registered home inspectors) associated with a recognized home inspection association anywhere in Canada who sign up for the course. The discount would be applied when and if the student completes and passes the course.
The online Home Flood Risk Assessment Training (HFRAT) Course is available through OntarioLearn and will run from March 1 to June 7, 2019. The cost is $448.47 and includes a one-year subscription to the Home Flood Risk Assessment Tool.

3. BizLaunch
BizLaunch offers free business tools and free webinars about the business skills entrepreneurs need. You can rewatch the webinars on your own and request the slide deck from the presenter. Some of the topics include Cash Flow Management Strategies and The Secrets To Writing A Great Business Plan.
4. Carson Dunlop Home - Inspection Training Program
A successful inspector is an educated inspector. If you are looking for Home Inspector Training that gives you the technical skills and the business tools for success, then the Carson Dunlop Home Inspection Training Program is for you. Completing this program fulfills the important education criteria for membership in the OAHI, getting you well down the path to becoming a Registered Home Inspector.
