OAHI Travel Insurance Question & Answer

For the past year many of us have been dreaming of travel. If you’re planning a trip, the last thing you want ruining it is huge, unexpected health bills. That’s where travel insurance comes in.  

What does Health Plus travel coverage include?

Your Health Plus OAHI member plan covers travel emergency health expenses for up to 60 days per trip, no limit on the number of trips per year. If you get sick or have an accident while travelling, you’re covered for doctor visits, hospital stays, and emergency transportation home if necessary. The plan’s travel hotline provides 24-7 support to help you find quality care where you are.  

Do I have to pay extra?

No, not unless your trip is longer than 60 days. If you plan to be away longer, we can help with additional coverage. 

What about other travel insurance?

Trip cancellation, interruption and lost baggage are a different category of travel insurance than emergency health, but it can also contribute to a worry-free vacation. While not included in your OAHI member health plan, we’re happy to refer you to a travel advisor to find excellent coverage for your trip.
